In the Mature Male...Reality for Bobby
The first TV ad for a deodorant that had a Roll-on applicator was Ban Deodorant in the 1950s. The ad was memorably obnoxious. The image was the famous sculpture of The Venus de Milo that is a torso lacking it s arms. As the spotlighted stature slowly revolved before the camera, a deep, somber male voice intoned: “In the mature male, and in the mature female, certain glands located beneath the curve of the arms…”
It was intended to be serious about a delicate subject, Body Odor. It was the most hilarious ad we ever saw. We could barely breathe from laughing so hard each time the ad came on.
As in many underarm deodorant products, an aluminum compound was an active ingredient that suppressed perspiration and the typical body odor Americans find objectionable.
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. believes that microscopic amounts of an aluminum commpud in some vaccines cause Autism in children. The aluminum is a preservative used safely in hundreds of millions of doses of vaccines around the world. Such vaccines protect at least 500,000 American children from paralysis and death just from Polio every year.
Does Kennedy know that a form of aluminum is a basic ingredient in most under arm deodorants?
Bobby, your ideas about our health stink. The people around you give thanks that due to the aluminum in the deodorant you swab on every morning, your pits don’t stink too.
